Best Deals on Water Softeners in Covington, KY

Hard water contains large amounts of minerals that can cause build-up in water pipes and heating systems as well as unsightly calcification on dishes, drinking glasses, and shower heads. Hard water is less effective than soft water for bathing and washing because detergents cannot lather well with the minerals present.

A reliable water softener or water treatment solution from Ohio Valley Pure Water can save homeowners more than $100 each year from better performing soaps and less build-up in water pipes. Clothes and linens washed in soft water last longer, hair becomes cleaner and shiner, and skin becomes softer and clearer when washed with soft water as opposed to hard. The right Ohio Valley Pure Water softening systems can bring comfort and savings to your home.

What is hard water?

Hard water is water that contains an appreciative quantity of dissolved minerals like calcium and magnesium. As water makes its way through the ground and into the waterways, it picks up minerals like chalk, lime and high levels of calcium and magnesium. The more minerals that are dissolved in the water the harder the water becomes. Most families in the Cincinnati tri-state eight county area have very hard water (9-14 grains hard) like Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Clermont County, and Dearborn County and others like it. Some have extremely hard water (over 14 grains hard) like in Butler County, Warren County, Loveland, Lebanon, Trenton, and Monroe.

How can I find out my water hardness?

Simply call your local water department where you pay your water bill. Just ask, "What is my water hardness in grains per gallon (G.P.G.)?

What is considered standard installation for a water softener?

Water line that is 1/2 or 3/4, installed in the unfinished area of your basement by your main water shutoff, no more than 25 feet of backwash line and an electrical outlet no more than 5 feet from the water softener.

Customer Reviews:

"My wife and I have had an Ohio Valley Pure Water filtration system in our home for about 7 years. The only problem we've had was when we moved. Shortly after we moved the output dropped. We called and they were there the same day. And repair it at no charge. We had our annual filter replacement yesterday, and Mike, the owner, is who showed up at our door. He is the one that put in our first system in our previous home. It was good to see him again. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick at his job. He was in and out in about half an hour and left his work area immaculate. I would strongly recommend Ohio Valley Pure Water is you are looking for a water filtration system. They do good work, and they are honest. That is a combination that is hard to find, and even harder to beat." Ron Varnum
"We've had a reverse osmosis system for several years and still use it every day. The water tastes much better than the tap, which makes it easier to drink more water. The staff reach out annually for small routine maintenance (filters, checking components, etc), which is great since I'd forget that stuff on my own!" Derek Brown
